Start Living in a Fantasy World is a new exhibition by Mike ‘Fox’ Foxall, the lowbrow artist whose work has been synonymous with the Sydney underground music scene since he formed the cult punk rock band Nancy Vandal over 20 years ago. Music, humour and art were bedfellows to Fox back then and remain tightly tucked beneath the doona to this day. Bikers, rock stars, cult movie villains, serpents, skeletons, gods and demons mingle, enjoying each other’s company throughout the paintings and animations on display. As an attendee you will be challenged to imagine a mystical place where Satan walks among us, Vikings do your tax and shock jocks have been replaced by guitar riffs.
