Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley in a War of Words over Prince Comments

Gene Simmons made some startling comments when speaking with NME in a recent interview about the death of Prince, labeling the recently deceased superstar, “pathetic.” Simmons went on to say: “His drugs killed him,” (This hasn’t been confirmed by a coroner – Ed) “What do you think, he died from a cold? I think Prince was heads, hands and feet above all the rest of them. I thought he left [Michael] Jackson in the dust. Prince was way beyond that. But how pathetic that he killed himself. Don’t kid yourself, that’s what he did. Slowly, I’ll grant you… but that’s what drugs and alcohol is: a slow death.”

It’s occasions like this where we all thank goodness that he doesn’t drink, he would be a real jerk on the…oh wait. Paul Stanley has come out strongly against Simmons on Twitter and even apologised on behalf of his band mate, who we assume would be incapable of doing such a thing himself. Stanley said on Twitter in response: “Embarrassed by the cold clueless statements re Prince’s death. Without all the facts better to say nothing. My apologies.” A big tick for Paul Stanley and big ‘FU’ to the walking mouth that is Gene Simmons.
