Demoninacht
An Unholy Tribute
Karnage Records
Released Date: October 2015
Review by Daniel Tucceri

The man of a thousand bands, Matt ‘Skitz’ Sanders, has added another release to his formidable discography. This time, Skitz steps to the forefront as he did many blackened moons ago with Hellspawn and screams his way through old school metal classics. Skitz’s vocals are at their blackened best and his approach on The Antichrist, propels Slayer into a zone more in line with Kreator.

Greg Lea’s guitar playing and tone is right on the money, staying faithful to the old school sounds without necessarily being derivative. Skitz’s drumming along to unholy gospels of Bathory, Slayer and Celtic Frost is a match made in heaven, or more appropriately, Hell. In particular, Woman of Dark Desires, is like a foot to the floor quarter mile run where the sheer pace throws you back in your seat. The only problem is it’s just that; a little too brief for its own good.
