The West Ausralian Music Industry recently held their prestigious WAM Awards night of nights and it was Perth band Sleepfreak that took home the Heavy Song Of The Year Award for their recent single ‘Frankenstein.’
The band has recently received a lot of critical praise for their newly received self-titled EP with one critic saying “It simply rocks. Anyone who thinks rock is dead, is either deaf or hasn’t head of these guys”. The EP saw the band work with the talented John Villani at Northbridge Sound Studios shortly before his passing.
Now the soul moving grooves, blistering guitars, melodic keyboards and soaring vocals of Sleepfreak have seen them become award winners in their own state the band now plan on going national. News of a tour and a new video will be released shortly. You’ve been warned Australia now get prepared.
