Eora/Sydney-based punk-rock group FANGZ have released their brazen new single Fine Without You.
Emotively charged, fast-paced and unapologetic, Fine Without You sees the quartet sonically venture into a ‘plug in and play’ style approach, capturing the raw essence of their chaotic live performances, while simultaneously shining a light on the song’s themes of battling inner demons.
Frontman Joshua Cottreau further delves into the motivation behind the track: “‘Fine Without You’ is about overcoming addiction. The lyrics allude to a love song, but it’s really about falling down a hole and climbing back out to overcome it all. In late 2022, I almost threw everything away that was good in my life. Fortunately, I had a great network of family and friends who supported me throughout the ordeal. I was very lucky to get the outcome I did, and it’s made me appreciate the things I take for granted every day. Sometimes you need to hit rock bottom, to become the best version of yourself.”
