Alda Sky today deliver a blistering new piece of their forthcoming EP with new single, Disconnect. The quintet’s EP, A World Divided will be available Friday, November 25.
Recorded, mixed and mastered by Chris Lalic (Windwaker, The Last Martyr, Rumours), the wistful tune describes navigating the hazards of desire when what you seek seems out of reach.
“Desire is a dangerous virtue that can break a person when the prospect of achieving an outcome becomes less plausible,” the band shares.
“When desires become out of reach and are no longer within grasp, you might seek resolution in a new direction. Finding that direction can seem like there is no relative timeline and searching for it can feel like you’re wandering in the dark.”
Set in the Australian bushland, the music video for Disconnect reflects the rocky terrain and forks in the road we inevitably face in pursuit of happiness.
