Eora/Sydney-based heavy metal seven-piece Battlesnake have today unbridled their ferocious new single I Am The Vomit – self-produced by the band themselves, and mastered by Steve Smart (The Living End, Parkway Drive).
Launching into action with hammering guitar riffage and mantra-like vocals from frontman Sam Frank, I Am The Vomit pays superb homage to the likes of Judas Priest and Slayer. Brilliant harmonies and tension-building cadences make way for a mammoth chorus, thunderous and sepulchral with fetid lyrics embodying motifs of rebirth and decay through intense instrumentation.
Battlesnake explains the themes behind I Am The Vomit: “‘I Am The Vomit’ is a key piece of Battlesnake lore. It tells the tale of a hell beast made from vomit that emerges from the dirt on judgement day to consume every naughty boy and girl before sending them to vomit hell.”
